Dates of Audition in Stockholm (Märsta) close to Arlanda Airport: November 20:th, 21:st and 22:nd of 2026!
Opera på Skäret will In the Summer of 2027 stage a Production of Giuseppe Verdis Opera Macbeth. The Production will be sung in Italian and be a full Scale Production with The Swedish Chamber Orchestra and Chorus. 12 performances in total.
Production dates in 2027:
Rehearsal Period: From June 28:th-July 29:th 2027
Performance Period: July 31:st-August 29:th 2027
The Production will be staged and performed at Opera på Skäret and will be in two A casts in the principle Roles covering each other. All Soloists must be available during the whole rehearsal period and to be in Kopparberg ,the location of Opera på Skäret, on all of the Performance Dates.
All Roles are being casted after a live Audition!
No pre-casting in advance.
Important
Applicants for Principle Roles (Macbeth, Lady Macbeth, Banco, Macduff) must prepare Arias / Duets from the Role. The Jury will only listen to music from Macbeth!
Supporting Roles (Malcolm, Dama di Lady Macbeth) must prepare the Solo Lines and Scenes/Ensembles from Macbeth + an additional Aria in Italian preferably from Verdi, Bellini or Donizetti.
