Like many other opera houses, Opera på Skäret has it’s own Friends Association. The Association consists of members who wants to help and support the opera in different ways, either by taking part as a volunteer at any of our events or to support us financially simply by being a member and pay the members fee.
Opera på Skäret’s Friends Association is a volontary non-profit association with it’s own finances that support Opera på Skäret, for example by helping out as volunteers or parking guards during the summer opera festival.
The Friends Association also support the opera by contributing to things that are outside the artistic area.
For example:
- Text machines in the opera salon
- Contributions to the refurbishment of the restaurant
- Sewing machines for the costume and design team
- Underfloor heating for the orchestra pit
- A grand piano for the Chamber Stage
Amongst other things.
As a member of the friends association you get the opportunity to have more of an insight into what we get up to during the year with our newsletter Sångbladet. This is distributed 3-4 times a year and contains reportages and all the latest news from the opera house.
You will also get special offers, exclusive to members.
An offer could for example be a discounted price on tickets to a specific performance or it could be a package deal- including the opera introduction, the opera performance plus dinner in the restaurant.
As a member, you will always receive a discount on your own tickets to the opera performances, but sometimes there will also be extra discount offers.
