Lorenzo Coladonato

Conductor

He has been resident conductor of the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra and chief conductor at the Mersin State Opera and Ballet in Turkey. He has worked as a guest conductor for a large number of eminent orchestras in Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Austria, Russia and China. His repertoire includes classic operas, such as Tosca, La Bohème, Don Carlo and Turandot, but also less commonly performed work. His debut in Sweden came with Opera på Skäret’s staging of The Magic Flute in 2019.

Alexander Niclasson

Director

Alexander Niclasson received his education at The Royal Danish Music Conservatoire and the Stockholm Opera. Has sung roles at Folk Opera, Vadstena Academy, Drottningholm Castle Theater and Läckö Castle Opera. At Opera på Skäret he has directed La Boheme, La Traviata, Il Tabarro, Il Barbiere di Siviglia and the Swedish Kronofogdarne and Slåtterölet, to which he also wrote a new libretto. Alexander Niclasson has been the Artistic Director of Opera på Skäret since 2018.

Sven Östberg

Scenographer

Set designer for most of Opera på Skäret’s productions since 2007: Aida, Carmen, Lucia di Lammermoor, The Barber of Seville, La Traviata, The Flying Dutchman, Madame Butterfly, Don Carlo and The Magic Flute. He has also been a director, writer of comedy reviews and trained as an actor at Wendelsberg Folk High School – a college of adult education.

Sigyn Stenquist

Costume Designer

Scenographer, costume designer and scenic artist since twenty years. Her work includes theatre, new circus, opera and music theatre. At Opera på Skäret she has designed costumes for La Bohème, Carmen, Don Carlo and A Magic Flute. She holds a degree in Theatre Design from England and was based there until 2010.

Caroline Romare

Costume Designer

Scenographer and costume designer with experience from theatre, opera, film and musical in productions all over Sweden. She is also a exhibition designer and The Stockholm Toy Museum and Mc Collection at Tidö Castle are formed by her hand. In former productions at Opera på Skäret she has designed the costumes for Don Carlo and The Magic Flute.

Stephanie Metzner

Mask & Wig

Stephanie Metzner made her debut as a makeup artist and wig maker at the ETA Hoffmann Theater in Bamberg, Germany. She continued her. career in Los Angeles, working on movie and television productions and expanding her expertise in special effects. Since 25 years, she works with circus, musicals, opera, theater, music videos, variety and dance productions. She is a lecturer and tutor at Accademia Dimitri in Switzerland.

Per-Birger Stenudd

Choreographer

His professional experience has been as a dancer in the Royal Swedish Ballet with many soloist roles. Also as a dancer and singer in musicals like A Chorus Line and Phantom of the Opera and extra chorus in some of the Royal Swedish Opera’s Wagner productions. He has participated in Opera på Skäret’s productions of Il Tabarro/Pajazzo and La Bohème as a choreographer, assistant director, artistic instructor and singer.

Kevin Wyn-Jones

Lighting Designer

Lighting designer frequently engaged by opera houses in, for example, Germany, Poland and Ukraine. Between 1998 and 2004, he was Chief Lighting Technician at Folkoperan, while also working at other theaters and opera houses in Sweden and Europe. At Opera på Skäret, he has worked on Lucia di Lammermoor, The Barber of Seville, La Traviata, The Flying Dutchman, Madame Butterfly, Don Carlo and The Magic Flute.

Stefan Lindgren

Repetiteur

A pianist who has collaborated with Opera på Skäret since its inception. He has been a soloist in leading orchestras including the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. He was the Radio Symphony Orchestra’s orchestra pianist from 1993 to 2001 and has held the corresponding position at the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra since 2007.

Bengt-Åke Lundin

Repetiteur

A pianist who has performed with all of the major symphony orchestras in Sweden, giving orchestra concerts and solo shows on stages including Carnegie Hall in New York, Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Cologne Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Vienna and Birmingham Symphony Hall. He has collaborated with Opera på Skäret for many years, including as a repetiteur. Bengt-Åke Lundin has been awarded a Swedish Grammy.

Sten Niclasson

Chorus Master

Opera Director and Founder of Opera på Skäret. Began his career as a violinist but later transitioned to song and has performed a large number of roles at the Göteborg Opera and Folkoperan, among others. At Opera på Skäret, he has directed Rigoletto, Aida, Tosca, Il Tabarro, Carmen, Lucia di Lammermoor and The Flying Dutchman.

Mats Johansson

Repetiteur Chorus

A teacher of piano and music theory, active for 20 years on the music program at Kävesta Folk High School – a college of adult education. Mats Johansson is engaged as a pianist for lied recitals, choral assignments and auditions. He has been with Opera på Skäret from the outset, as a pianist and leading rehearsals with the Opera på Skäret chorus.

Ida Gudim

Assistant Director

Ida Gudim is a graduate of the Academy of Opera in Oslo and holds an MA in song performance from the Norwegian Academy of Music, where she has also completed additional training in culture and leadership. She works alternately as a soloist, producer and director. She has been a soloist in the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, Kristiansund Opera, Opera di Setra and the Ringsaker Opera.

Amandus Lindblad

Producer

Producer with recurring assignments at Opera på Skäret since 2019. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Entrepreneurship and a master’s degree in Theater Studies. He also works as a producer at the Swedish Wind Orchestra, Operabyrån and Stockholm MusikTeater, all three in Stockholm.
