Sven Östberg has been the set designer for most of Opera på Skäret’s productions since 2006, in Rigoletto, Aida, Carmen, Lucia di Lammermoor, The Barber of Seville, La Traviata, The Flying Dutchmen, Madame Butterfly, Don Carlo, The Magic Flute, Un Ballo in Maschera and Rigoletto again.

No art form has been foreign to him during his career. In the 1960s he performed theater experiments and later he has been a director, a revue author and a variety artist.

He has worked with actor training and been the Headmaster of Wendelsberg Folk High School – a college of adult education.
