In the summer of 2026, Lorenzo Coladonato returns to Opera på Skäret – for the fifth time! After this year’s great success with Turandot, another Puccini classic awaits: La Bohème.
“I’m truly delighted to return to Opera på Skäret and – not least – to take on the music of this magnificent opera. La Bohème moves and captivates audiences all over the world, not only for its unforgettable music but also because it tells a story that touches us all sooner or later – the passage from youth to adulthood. Often, as in the case of the young protagonists of the opera, this transition comes through tragedy. Listening to La Bohème offers us the chance to relive that turning point – to reflect on our own lives, on who we once were and who we have become,” says Lorenzo Coladonato.
Coladonato has become a familiar and much-loved conductor at Skäret. Since his debut with The Magic Flute in 2019, he has conducted Un ballo in maschera (2022), Rigoletto (2023) and Turandot (2025). In the summer of 2026, he will once again take up the baton – this time for one of opera history’s most beloved love stories.
