Serbian soprano Sonja Šarić studied at the University of Music Mannheim. In 2017, she won the Maria Callas Grand Prix in Athens. She was also the winner of the Austrian Music Theater Prize in 2019 and in Eva Marton International Competition in 2021. In addition to international engagements, she is part of the ensemble at the National Theater in Belgrade since 2023. Her repertoire includes roles such as Bellini’s Norma, Senta in The Flying Dutchman, Leonora in Il Trovatore, Aida in Aida, Alice Ford in Falstaff, the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, Madame Cortese in Il viaggio a Reims, Nedda in Pagliacci, Gerhilde in The Valkyrie and Maria in Maria Stuart.
